I Am A Type 2 Diabetic I Had Foot Surgery

i am a type 2 diabetic i had foot surgery 11/30/2016 i wear a boot when i leave the house. most of my day is spent in my recliner with my foot up, my h1c has been in the 70 to 130 range. i am a very active 74 year old male.my question is does lack of being in active cause readings to be higher than i ever had?
