I Am Allergic To Sulfa Meds. Had An Anaphyllactic Reaction.

i am allergic to sulfa meds. had an anaphyllactic reaction. I just had a corneal transplant about a month ago. dr. ordered Bacitracin zinc and polymyxin B sulfalt opthalmic ointment. When i put it in my eye it burned and my eye became very red. Could i be responding to the sulfate portion of this med?
