I Am On Birth Control, I Get My Period Every

i am on birth control, i get my period every 3 months. I went off a week stopped taking my pills (6/23-6/29) got a regular period and a week later i was fine. After that week I started and havent stopped spotting. So since about July 5th I havent stopped. Last Saturday (8/8) I went off the pill to have another cycle to see if this would work. This is the worst cycle ive experienced in a while. Why is this happening? I am always stressed so I dont see why these past two months would be any different then any other year or month.
