I Don’t Drink Pop Often But Whenever I Do, Even

i don’t drink pop often but whenever i do, even if it’s just a couple sips, i’ll have a sore throat by the next day and sometimes it’ll last for a few days. this never used to happen when i was younger but it has been like that the last couple years whenever i have pop. why is this?
