I Fell 5 Days Ago On My Elbow. It Swelled

i fell 5 days ago on my elbow. it swelled righ away and i had a little abrasion on my skin. it bruised and was sore for several days. just yesterday i noticed that when i bent my elbow it felt as if the abrasion, whch looks like it is healing fine, would split open. i felt my elbow and it is warm to touch, though not red. it is also very swollen around the bone and the entire area is tender to touch. i have not seen a doctor. what do you think is going on?
