I Found Out That I Have A PCOS..my Ob Gave

i found out that i have a PCOS..my ob gave me nedicines for it pills and metformin..she told me to take on my first heavy bleeding..my problem now is i'm alteady bleeding but it's on and off and it's not heavy..is it okay to take the medicines with or without my heavy menstruation?
