I Had A Broken Wisdom Tooth On Which A Dentist

i had a broken wisdom tooth on which a dentist put a dentin treatment and a temporary filling to see if it would the dentin would harden and allow for a permanent crown to be placed in about a month. If it was still tender, she planned to pull the tooth. Now I am having some pain in the back of my head on the same side and some pain over my mastoid bone. I have had no middle ear symptoms or ear drainage. Is it possible to get mastoiditis from a tooth infection?
