I Had A Colostomy Reversal, Leaving An Open Hole Where

i had a colostomy reversal, leaving an open hole where the stoma was. 2 days after surgery, the Dr put 2 stitches in the side of the hole because of bleeding. The hole is closed up now & I just noticed 2 white strings in the area of the stitches protruding from the skin. I thought the Dr removed them with the others. Are they disolving? do they need to be removed? The Dr is hard to reach and frankly, he's a bit of a butcher. he intimadates me. He put the stitches in W/O anesthesia. All I can say is they are white.
