I Had A Fall Off Of The Bed And Now

i had a fall off of the bed and now a large spot on my thigh is numb; and it itches constantly, and there is significant discoloration too...a bruise-like color. Is this something serious or am I over reacting. the discoloration didnt happen until about 3-4 months after the fall but the numbness happened within a couple of days. the itching didnt happen right away either. my concern is, is it internal or is the discoloration from me scratching it so much because of the itching! I realize it would be impossible for a doctor to diagnose this without seeing it, but, I just want some professional opinion at this point. thank you.
