Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i had an auto accident at high speed last year, since then i have experienced near syncopal episodes if i lay on my right side..I was told I had a narrowed vertebral artery on the right and a large one on the left. in the past couple of months the symptoms have intensified to the point i cannot lay on either side and have to be propped up on pillows on my back to sleep without experiencing these symptoms. I went to my PMD and she sent me to a vascular surgeon. He then ordered a doppler study ... the tech said he had never seen anything like it. Not only are my parotid glands quite enlarged but he said it looks like a mass or a blockage somewhere and possibly an AV fistula.. he said first time in 30 years he is stumped. He said that the entire practice was going to evaluate my ultrasound and figure out the next steps. I now have weird tingling sensations when i look down or reach out and i have a feeling almost like someone squeezing my neck and my face feels pulled tight.
