I Have A Black Spot On My Lower Eyelid. Want

i have a black spot on my lower eyelid. want to know what may cause it? i went to an eye dr and she said to come back because it does seems serious. i think it is because it looks like it is slowly growing. it is not paining nor does it feels uncomfortable
