I Have A Friend Who Has 'disappeared'. He Is A

i have a friend who has 'disappeared'. he is a recovering alcoholic, about nine months sober, suffering from severe depression, weight loss, and detached retina in one possibly both eyes. he was in intensive care last time i heard about him. he did call once, said he can't be reached. any idea what's going on?
