I Have A Friend Who Is Experiencing Some Health Issues

i have a friend who is experiencing some health issues and can't seem to get any answers. He has been diagnosed with anemia. He has joint pain, fatigue, abdominal pain and weight loss and decreased appetite. He has been to see a gastroenterologist but they have not come up with anything so far. Any suggestions??
