I Have A Hard Round Pea Size That Protruded From

i have a hard round pea size that protruded from my anus yesterday. I am not sure what it is. It is tender but if i am not sitting directly on that area it does not hurt and does not hurt when i lie down. I used witch hazel on it and some hemrhoidal cream but not sure if it will go away on its own or if I should go to the Dr.
