I Have A Large Flat Lump On My Lower Back

i have a large flat lump on my lower back that is very painful when touched or leaned on and feels warm to the touch. I had an ultrasound done this evening and no infection or abnormalities showed up in the tissue. the emergency doc wasn't sure what it was and says he doesn't believe its infection or a muscle strain.
