I Have A Lump Between My Scrotum And Anus. What

i have a lump between my scrotum and anus. what is the cause? is there a reason to be afraid of? before it was just a small one and seems connected to the opening of my anus but now its like the size of a peanut. it was there for about 5 to seven years.
