I Have A Reactive Thyroid And With The Salivic Gland

i have a reactive thyroid and with the salivic gland my left side of my neck swells when I eat and the swelling goes down within a 1\2 hr after. I was told that this could be contributed due to a blockage in my left saliva gland and should go away with in 6 weeks?
