I Have A Slightly Itchy Sensation Located On My Back

i have a slightly itchy sensation located on my back between my spine and shoulder blade. I had a thoracic xray done. There were no "foreign" bodies, just a lot of wear and tear along my spine. I'm 63 and been a runner for almost 40 years. What's interesting is the sensation ceases when I sit or lay down. I'm a teacher, so I stand most of the day. Any remedies out there?
