I Have Arnold Chiari Malformation, About 20 Years Ago I

i have arnold chiari malformation, about 20 years ago i hydrchefalus.(bad spelling) and after a mri found what the problem was and i had a vp shunt inserted it regulates the fluid in the brain. after quite a few revisions (replacing the shunt) and many other medical problems overcome. i now find out that my great nephew (8)is showing some of the same symptoms that i had all those years ago i want to help him but dont want to overboard with the infomation as i have a cousin who has something simular but is now ok. any advise.
