I Have Been Feeling Very Tired Lately And My Muscles

i have been feeling very tired lately and my muscles are sore. I went to the doctor and he did a blood test he said that i have an elevated platelet count and i should repeat the test in 3 months time. i have had the same thing before maybe a year ago. should i wait like my JP suggest or should i go see someone else
