I Have Been On Plavix For 6 Years ,after I

i have been on plavix for 6 years ,after i had a stent placed . My cardio Dr , said i can get off of it , said to take it every other day until i run out , but to continue the 80mg of aspirine a day , Is this safe ? What are the chances of heart attack and or clots forming , Cholestrol is 144 . and i,m on crestor .
