I Have Extreme Pain Down My Left Leg With Tingling

i have extreme pain down my left leg with tingling in my foot, i have had surgery[ ten years or more] but the pain keeps coming back. this last episode worse than any before. i could not get out of bed and had to call an ambulance. will this continue to get worse or is there something i can do
