I Have Had A Month-long Dry Cough. But Sunday At

i have had a month-long dry cough. But Sunday at 3am, the cough went into overdrive and after a 45 coughing fit, I suddenly had purple mucus coming up with my cough AND I was completely wiped out of energy and sore in all of my muscles. Its been 3 days now. Other than suggesting I go to my doctor (which I am doing tomorrow) what are your thoughts? Thx
