I Have Pain In Outside Of Left Knee, Goes Down

i have pain in outside of left knee, goes down front of leg, my ankle and foot is swollen and has a tingling feeling. The pain also goes up outside of my thigh. was diagnosed with arthritis, given cortisone shot but did not work. most nights I'm in so much pain I can't sleep. I take melatonin, anxiety med. and sometimes tylenol pm. and still can not sleep. hurts to walk most days and makes it hurt worse.
