I Just Received My Results From A Uric Acid Test

i just received my results from a uric acid test ordered because of pain in the large toe of my right foot: 5.7mg/dL which is the normal range (the doctor suspects gout). I have a follow up visit later this week...should I discuss the possibility of rheumatoid arthritis? My mother developed it at age 67 (when it hit with a vengence). I am a male and will be 67 this fall.
