I Play Softball And I Dove For A Ball, I

i play softball and I dove for a ball, I hit my left knee. it had some substantial bruising. This was over a month ago, and there is still a golf ball sized knot on my knee. It is somewhat tender to touch, but does not affect my ambulation. What is this?
