I Started Using Ovral L On 20th Of April. That

i started using ovral L on 20th of April. that was 12 days after i got my period that month. according to the instructions i am supposed to start taking the pills again on the 18th of this month (7 days after the last pill) i got my periods on 17th of this month and 22nd was the last day.. the question is, will it be okay if i skip the pills during my period days and start taking them again once my periods are over.. Would the pills still work? i mean, i am supposed to eat it on the 18th but i didn't and am planning to start taking it today again..

oh and one more question.. would it be safe to have sex today after taking the pill or should i stay for 1 or 2 days to be on the safe side?? waiting for a kind reply soon.. :)
