I Was Diagnosed With PTA, Had IV Flagyl And Benzyl

i was diagnosed with PTA, had IV flagyl and benzyl penicillin for 6 days, then had the abscess drained and one of my tonsils removed to gain access. I was sent home with oral abs. Felt better for a couple of days but then the pain in my throat started to increase. Is this to be expected? I have no temperature and am able to eat and drink. But i was expecting the pain to recede by now
