I Was Diagnosed With Gastroitus (spelling) A Couple Of Days

i was diagnosed with gastroitus (spelling) a couple of days ago, i have not been able to get a hold of a nurse at my doctors office so i thought i would try this, is it normal for the pain to move with this? yesterday it was at the top left hand side above my belly button. Today it feels like its at the bottom left hand side below the belly button. its a burning pain. The pain is pretty uncomfortable as well.
