I Was In A Wrestling/grappling Match. My Head Was Pushing

i was in a wrestling/grappling match. my head was pushing against my opponents head with slight forward flexion with a slight right rotation/rt lateral flexion. we were head to head fight for a takedown. As i was pushing(like an isometric neck exercise), i heard 2 loud pops at the mastoid process/base of skull. it was loud enough for my opponent to hear it. we stopped bc i was scared. not much pain but tender at mastoid area and stiff neck. a week has passed and it feels alot better. What was the two pops? A sprain, strain, joint manipulation? there was no swelling. I got anxiety from it. thanks
