I Was Told Some Time Ago That I Should Avoid

i was told some time ago that i should avoid grapefruit in its many forms. i can not remember why unless it was something to to with with the medication i take for high blood pressure, my heart condition or something to do with my health. i can not remember why i was told to avoid it. should i avoid it?
