I Went To The ER On Tuesday. I Experienced Short

i went to the ER on Tuesday. I experienced short term memory loss. It has never happened before. They did a CAT scan and some blood work but didn't find anything. I am a male and 62 years of age. 5' 7" and 180 lbs. I am scheduled for an MRI of my head and an ultra sound of my carotid artery this coming Thursday. However, I am having headaches every day and they get really intense and will come and go multiple times each day. I don't normally have headaches. I'm also experiencing occassional pain in my jaws usually when I have a headache. Sometimes there is a weird sensation of taste (not sure how to explain). Any thoughts?
