I Went To The Dr Today (day 3 Of Laryngitis)

i went to the dr today (day 3 of laryngitis) and got a prescription for 40mg of prednisone for 5 days. the pharmacy was concerned that there was no weaning for such a high dose. i contacted the dr (actually PA) and she was angry with pharmacy and made them call me to apologize but the 3 pharmacists all thought it was unusual to not wean off the drug. Who is right?
