Im A 17 Year Old Female Who Received An Abortion

im a 17 year old female who received an abortion procedure in september, and received the depo shot just minutes after my procedure. i was told by my doctor i was suppose to not insert anything in my vagina for 3 weeks and i assumed the bleeding will stop to. it slowed down and was a brownish color so i figured it was drying out. about 1 week ago, in november my blood became more flowing, and had a strong smell and looked more so of discharge than blood. my question is, is it possible i have a vaginal infection?
