I'm A Diabetic And Now Have Diabetic Nerve Problems In

i'm a diabetic and now have diabetic nerve problems in my thighs. They burn and feel like needles shoting through my legs when I lay down to go to sleep. They don't bother me during the day. i have been given 300 mg to take 2 pills twice a day. What are the side effects of this medicine ? Is there a way to cure this condition? Are is there a safer drug?p
