I'm Having A Problem With Not Being Able To Think,

i'm having a problem with not being able to think, or do things fast enough. my Dr. said i have severe depression and wants to give me xanax. after looking it up online, i don't want any part of it and i told him so. i dont have the usual symptoms of depression, and i don't feel depressed. a friend suggested hypnothearapy. what do you think?
