Is It Possible To Be Semi Allergic Or Mildly Allergic

is it possible to be semi allergic or mildly allergic to onions and garlic. Every time my boyfriend eats either one of them i get sick. The smell is so strong on his body it causes me to get a migraine.....he says am making the symptoms up because i dont like them
