Is It Safe The A Six Years Old Temperature Has

is it safe the a six years old temperature has been 101 almost all day. i gave him some childrens tylenol but it didnt help any. his feet and legs are cold and his arms are normal temperature. he is not sleepy, he is really active. im just concerned about his temperature being so high.
