It Is Said That Heart Is Almost Resting On Fundus

it is said that heart is almost resting on fundus of stomach--in case of digestion problems i.e too much gases bulge out fundus thus creating pain and discomfort in chest,mostly taken as heart pain--how far it is true--and if so why cant this fundus part be reduced by surgery to chronic dispepsia patents.
