I've Had Either Pinched Nerve(s), Or Damaged Nerve(s). Happened When

i've had either pinched nerve(s), or damaged nerve(s). happened when i fell asleep with my head and left shoulder fell on my computer. i slept for 15 hours that nite, same position.
When i woke up, i couldn't move my arm for 1/2 hour. couldn't move my left hand for 1 week. dominate hand, too. can hardly use it.,

went to my gp guy and he mentioned having an mri. but he was surprised my neck didn't hurt. then he conferred w/ my neurologist and
emg. been 2 months. no action. very painful, forearm and hand. i can use hand sparingly.

i'm getting this info 3rd and 4th hand, from nurse. i took it upon my self to do "pt"? lightly and heavily massages, stretching my arm using a sling a little. chance of it resolving itself? what do you guys/gals suggest?
