I've Had Hiccups Since Last Tuesday. It Goes Away When

i've had hiccups since last Tuesday. It goes away when I've gone to sleep and then is persistent but with breaks during the day. Today has been the worse and breathing has become more difficult. I went to family dr friday - told me to take nexium. That hasn't helped as I don't feel a lot of issues with acid. She also prescribed chlorpromazine 25mg that I just started today. I've tried multiple obvious tricks to stop the hiccups but not real silver bullet yet has helped
