Ive Had Strange Sensation In The Back Of My Throat

ive had strange sensation in the back of my throat on the right side, its an isolated spot where you cant see anything unusual but its extremely dry, on the right side only and its getting worse, the only thing that sometimes helps is drinking alot of water so i literally am drinking way more water than i need, but it feels like i m gonna choke if i dont..doctor did not see anything last time i was there..its been over two months now. my email is YYYY@YYYY ..i was wondering what kind of tests would help me get a diagnosis.
