Just A Little While Ago My 11yr Old Son Had

just a little while ago my 11yr old son had an unusual tiny white fluffy mucus-like blood (very little) stool; small in shape, maybe an inch, shaped like a worm. I couldn't tell if it actually was but it didn't look like it. he knew it wasn't normal as I've taught him to check his stools each time. what is that?
