Long Term Issue With Pain In One Toe On Right

long term issue with pain in one toe on right foot. since I am pre- type 2 my doctor had sent me to a neurologist. no nerve damage was found. My hobby is day hiking, In the past I have hiked hundreds of miles in a year. The pain appears to be where the toe itself attaches to the foot. I take an Advil or two before hiking and good to go. it is getting worse as time goes on.
