My 14 Year Old Was Running A Fever Of 102

my 14 year old was running a fever of 102 for about 14 hours. We used tylenol and ibuprofen to get it down. He was complaining of pain in his lower right side of his back. Today, he is still feeling bad but the fever has subsided. He still has back pain but it seems to now be more on the rib area. Should i be concerned?
