My 25 Yo Son Has "Hell's Itch" From A Bad

my 25 yo son has "Hell's Itch" from a bad sunburn. He is in extreme pain and itching. He has a methylprednisolone pack that he has on hand for asthma. He has used these packs in Nov.'17 and april '18 will it help this severe itching and is it safe to use again so soon?
