My 3 Year Old Son Has Had A Cough /

my 3 year old son has had a cough / cold for 5 days his temperature is reaching 39 he shakes I understand the reason for this. My worry is that for a couple of hours he seems to perk up like there is nothing wrong then its like his energy has been zapped from him and becomes really poorly this is not nec after he has had medicine or any particular time of the day. When my daughter was 18 months old she experienced the same symptoms for 2 weeks and she had meningococcal septicaemia.

I have 5 children and don't take them to the doctors as I believe most illnesses don't need treatment.
