My 7 Mth Old Granddaughter Is Having Some Type Of

my 7 mth old granddaughter is having some type of reaction. She is getting bright red blotches all over her body that have small white papules. She was at the peditricians on Tues who said it appeared to be a viral rash. We have given her Benadryl but her cheeks are still bright red, swollen and appear waxy. What is your opinion on this. No fever and no distressed breathing except for a cold that has caused congestion.
