My 81 Yr Old Mother Is In The Hospital With

my 81 yr old mother is in the hospital with severe abdominal pain that feels like she is carrying a rock in her abdomen that goes into her back, she went to the ER but there are unable to do a CAT scan or MRI due to elevate BUN and creatinine. she had an ultra sound that is showing some sort of infection around the intestines near but not in the pancreas. I am her daughter and I am an RN. I live far from her and have not been able to be at the hospital with her. is there something that they could do other than the cat scan or mri ,, they mentioned a possibility of a blocked mesenteric artery?
