my 82 yr old mom is considering spinal cord stimulation. she currently takes tramadol hcl er 200mg and this allows her to sleep well and takes away all of the pain. she is going to try the spinal cord stimulator because her dr told her that the tramadol is addictive. she does not have an addictive personality, does not drink or smoke. concerned about the side effects of the spinal cord stimulation implant. is she ok to stick with the tramadol?
